Introducing – Master Hugh

Master Hugh is our first Irizar i4 to join our fleet. Built to our specification it boasts 70 passenger seats with three point seatbelts, DVD player with two LCD screens and air conditioning.

The Irizar i4 has been especially created for urban and intercity routes. It’s an ideal coach for school transportation and often eliminates the need to hire out two separate coaches.

It complies with all safety regulations and, of course, maintains all the standards for quality, comfort and reliability that characterise the rest of our fleet.

A Winning Combination

We are very pleased to say that Golden Boy Coaches has won the coveted RouteONE Coach Operator of the Year Award. With competition in this category one of the most intense that the judges have had to deal with, they insisted the winner has to be the operator with the highest standards when it comes to customer service, employee investment, fleet presentation and compliance.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID…

“Our winner presented a formidable and compelling story that supports its belief in putting a strong focus on vehicle investment, maintenance, staff conditions and training as the route to delivering excellence for its customers. What’s more its policy of standing firm on hire rates rather than compromising quality is delivering rewards.”

It is an honour to have received this award and we recognise this would not have been possible without our excellent team of driving, office and maintenance staff. THANK YOU.

Award Winning Engineering

We are very pleased to announce that our very own Director of Engineering, Paul Murdoch, has seen off stiff competition to win the RouteONE Engineer of the Year Award.  This is the second time that Paul has won this award which is given to a skilled engineer who clearly contributes to their operator’s success.

WHAT THE JUDGES SAID…

“Not only has our winner made remarkable strides since entering the industry at an early age, but he has shown himself to be extremely successful in taking on additional responsibilities that have added significant growth opportunities while also enhancing the standing of the business.”

Introducing – Master Eddie

Master Eddie is the latest addition to the fleet. Built by Noone in Ireland and supplied to us by Minis To Midis, this Turas 900 is one of the very first in the country.

In boasts a high specification interior including 33 reclining leather seats, air conditioning and a DVD player/PA system.

This vehicle would be ideal for any kind of day trip and its luggage capacity makes it also ideal for airport transfers and even UK tours.

Our Very Own Golden Boy

We are pleased to announce that our very own Director of Engineering, Paul Murdoch, has been shortlisted to receive the Engineer of the Year award at the up and coming Route One Awards 2015. A title which he has previously held in 2010.

This category is for the skilled engineer who clearly contributes to their operator’s success. The winner will need to show the judges that they have an impeccable compliance record, a commitment to excellent maintenance standards, a firm grip on the maintenance of the fleet and show evidence to demonstrate that they have been able to take a wider involvement in the business, successfully helping to move it forward.

Good Luck Paul.

Route ONE Awards 2015

Golden Boy Coaches has reached the shortlist of finalists in the RouteONE Awards 2015.

The RouteONE Awards are a way of extending support to the coach and bus industry and are specifically designed to reward the operator. They recognise excellence in areas such as quality and specification of vehicles, driver presentation and professionalism, staff training and innovation.

We are up against another four coach operators in our category of medium coach operator of the year (16-50 vehicles) and are keeping our fingers crossed!

Golden Boy tees off at St Andrews

Golden Boy Coaches, working in partnership with Nova Bussing, is supplying transport for the 144th Open Championship, which is due to take place at St Andrews next week.

Nova Bussing required high specification luxury vehicles for this seven day hire and the vehicles travelled to Edenbridge to be wrapped in the official sponsors branding.

We certainly think the bright colours will make us stand out from the crowd.
